Michael Powell Born in Cranbrook,
BC, Michael moved to Salt Spring Island at the age of four. He was
first introduced to the piano at the age of six by his Grandmother. He
had lessons with Pat Duke for several years and later Chris Kodaly
became his tutor. Chris helped him attain his Royal Conservatory of
Music Grade 10 piano certificate. Michael has completed the theory prerequisites for the ARCT (Associateship of the Royal
Conservatory of Toronto) Performance exam which he intends to complete
in the future. Interests: Piano, electronic music
(MIDI/synthesizer keyboards), music & computers, music composition,
audio recording, digital photography, tennis, Yamaha scooters, mountain
biking, electric bikes, RC aircraft & aerial
photography.
Music I play and listen to: Classical/Romantic, Chopin,
Beethoven, Mozart, Debussy, Brahms, film soundtracks, popular music,
and various other styles except heavy metal or punk rock
etc. My Piano Journey CD is once
again available online. The price is $15 CAD + $8 S&H. You may now
